About Us

We Are Perth’s Leading Mobile Dentist & Denture Service

Aged Care Dentistry was established in 2009, several years after Dr Bala graduated from The University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Dental Science.

Graduating over 10 years ago, Dr Bala started seeing elderly and difficult cases, and found these patients immensely rewarding to work with. They were often cases other dentists felt were too hard or were hesitant to treat. As such, Aged Care Dentistry was born.

After researching and attending a variety of Continuing Education Courses, Dr Bala was able to source the latest portable products and equipment to provide the same level of service where a person lived compared to if they attended a private dental surgery. He then gave up Private Practice and devoted his time solely on Aged Care Dentistry.

Providing Quality Dental Care for Elderly Patients

Dr Bala’s primary focus is to help those who are unable to or find it difficult to go out to their own dentist. In particular those who have behavioural, medical or cognitive issues which makes treatment very difficult. Most of his patients have been diagnosed with Dementia or Alzheimer disease, in addition to other complex medical issues. Dr Bala was able to develop a technique which allows him to carry out nearly all treatments where a person lives including extractions, fillings, cleaning and dentures.

Teaming up with a Mobile Anesthetist, Dr Bala is able to carry out treatment using local anesthetic, oral sedation and IV or ‘twilight’ sedation. The sense of reward and accomplishment in improving the quality of life of individuals gives him the endless energy to attend continuing education courses and purchase the latest equipment to carry out treatment to the highest possible standards. He is readily contactable for any questions or to discuss any cases.
